Once again our Christmas party was a huge success. We would like to extend a very special thank you to everyone who brought desserts for our fundraiser. This year we chose to sponsor Bayley House. Bayley House is a local charity that supports people with intellectual disabilities. We raised $250.00 and are very happy to offer this amount as a Christmas contribution to Bayley House. A very special thank you must also go to our pizzaiolo bravissimo Araldo! Pizze this year were exceptional and he is already on a mission to research some new combinations and ingredients in Italy. Once again thank you all very much.
Forum italiano is now on Facebook! Find Us!
Exciting news…Forum Italiano is now on Facebook! We welcome all our students and friends to connect with us on Facebook to stay in touch with us and keep updated on our events. Our new Facebook page will also allow our students to find each other, share all their Italian experiences and practise their language skills.
Friends of Umbria Association
As most of you know, Forum Italiano has established a strong connection to the region of Umbria in Italy. Not only do we organise our unique tour “La mia Umbria con Antonella” we also have become part of the “Friends of Umbria” association. This distinctive organisation allows all lovers of the Italian language and culture to become linked to this beautiful region. The association organises social events that reflect traditional Umbrian heritage, establishes personal and business ties between Umbrian and Victorian communities and allows students to further their passion for all things Italian. Simply become a member and enjoy the benefits. Membership cards will be available soon.
Contact Antonella via email on ralder@optusnet.com.au to express interest and seek further information.
Nonno’s Olive Oil
At Forum Italiano we have available “Nonno’s Olive Oil”. This 100% pure, organic, cold pressed oil is available to purchase wholesale at $22 a bottle. It’s a great Christmas present. Contact Antonella for this buonissimo olio. |
La Befana é venuta a Forum italiano
As Christmas is approaching quickly we remind all children from our children’s classes about “La Befana”. La Befana is an old woman who delivers gifts to children throughout Italy on the Eve of the Epiphany (the night of January 5). We were all very excited that La Befana made an early appearance at the forum italiano children’s concert. Che bello!

Finally, everyone at forum italiano would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and a safe and wonderful new year.
Remember that our classes next year begin on Monday the 7th of February 2010.
